I have been working in photography and multi media for decades up in New England. From choppy amateur films to blurry scenes through flip-phone cameras when I was a naive teen. My love for movies and creative projects was encouraged by my family's video rental store, as well as my first job at the local movie theatre.
Now, I lend my eye meaningful creative projects from my home in New Hampshire and the world beyond!
With a borrowed Canon Rebel XS my brother-in-law lent me, I kayaked through the coves of a secluded pond here in southern New Hampshire. I followed this great blue heron for hours. And for hours I would get within the limitations of the shaking 300mm kit lens, and away she'd fly.
And so, I paddled deeper still.
Through clouds of vicious insects and assumed venomous reptiles, until finally I was close and steady enough to capture this over exposed, slightly out of focus JPG of a moment. I didn't know what aperture was. I didn't understand composition. Shutter speed and lighting were a mystery, and stabilization was non-existent. But I was out for adventure, and I was trying my damndest.
But to me, I see more than a sub-par photo.
This was my first glimpse into the world of wildlife photography, and the magical scenes I could uncover through patience and curiosity when I ventured from a beaten path.
The first time I recognized the impact of a moment in sport. The first time I realized that I had the power to freeze time for others, and to create a lasting impression that would showcase the hard work & passion that incredible people dedicate to their craft. The same way I do with my work.
Now, with a deeper understand of my equipment, a healthy appetite for adventure, I've advanced my trade.
From team sports to couples. Theater productions to film BTS. High School Seniors. Yoga Retreats. I've worked with so many different people on a vast range of projects, and I have absolutely no interest in turning down a good ideas to focus on one niche.
We are open to any and all crazy idea or project if it means taking on a fun and interesting challenge in order to realize your vision.
I've been invited to photograph yoga retreats, weddings, and maternity. I've ventured through various sports arenas, theater, and music. I've worked on film sets documenting unique behind-the-scenes moments while other incredible artists showcase their work. And I've met some incredible people along the way.
Giving back to the community has always been a passion of ours. Providing great images for free can be every bit as enriching as a commissioned project. We proudly volunteer our photography services to support local schools, youth sports programs, nonprofit organizations, community events, and charitable causes throughout New Hampshire and New England.
By donating our time and talents, we help organizations share their stories, celebrate achievements, raise funds, and create lasting memories while strengthening the communities we call home.
If you have a worthwhile mission, we would love to work with you!
Choosing one film would be impossible. My parents had a video rental store back when I was younger, and my first job ever was at the local movie theatre.
I love fantasy adventure, so The Labyrinth has been a childhood fave. If I'm chuckling, it's Dumb and Dumber. Romance has to be Dirty Dancing. Rocky Horror during spooky season is a must. The list goes on...
Like movies and music, it depends on my mood. Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom taught me many life lessons. The Great Gastby, though problematic in some ways, is a classic to revisit. ACOTAR sometimes. And I'm currently discovering why Steven King is one of the all time greats.
Iceland has been at the top of my list for awhile now. Ireland as well. I'm not a big city traveler. I love rolling hills and country side. Give me a castle to explore and learn about and I'm content.
Board games or any game you can play at a table full of people. Games that make you strategize or team up. Situations that get you yelling and cackling through spontaneous new rivalries.
This year I will be 7 years sober! Living my life in a healthy and thoughtful way, using my time in meaningful and constructive ways. I've accomplished many things in my life, but nothing has had the rippling impact that sobriety has had. And if you or someone you know is struggling, please do reach for help. A conversation can go a long way to changing someones life!
I know that I will always be learning and evolving. It's impossible to know everything about photography. But to me, that's the exciting bit of it. And I'm always excited to see where this takes me next.
